RMAEP Student Scholarships

RMAEP is proud to offer two $1,500.00 scholarships to students seeking a degree related to environmental professions, including (but not limited to): environmental studies, environmental and petroleum engineering and geology, law, sustainability, natural resource management, environmental planning, environmental policy and protection, or environmental compliance.

Who Can Apply 

Any student pursuing a degree related to an environmental profession who is enrolled at a college or university within the RMAEP six-state region (Colorado, Idaho, Montana, Nevada, Utah, and Wyoming) is eligible.  Students must be participating in at least 9 credit hours per semester during the 2017/2018 academic year.   

Students must be current members of RMAEP. 

Your interest and commitment to pursuing a career as an environmental professional are important.  You are encouraged to reflect that throughout the application and accompanying essay.  Students should be well-rounded and active in extracurricular and community activities.   

Application Process 

Applications must be postmarked by 5:00 p.m. MST on September 8, 2017.  Applications should be mailed to Andrew Safulko

The applications will be reviewed by a volunteer committee and recommended recipients will be approved by the RMAEP board.  Recipients will be notified by October 16th, 2017.  Decisions are final.  Recipients will be asked to attend RMAEP’s Envirofest event in October of 2017 to participate in a scholarship award ceremony.

II.                   An essay detailing your career objectives and goals as an environmental professional.  The essay should be greater than 500 words, but less than 1,000.
